• Former Banner Editor Resigns from CRC - John Suk, editor of The Banner, from 1993 to 2003, announced he is resigning from ministry in the Christian Reformed Church.

• Calvin Grad Awarded Hertz Fellowship - Cheri Ackerman, a 2011 Calvin Collge graduate, has been awarded a quarter-of-a-million dollar, 2012-2013 Hertz Fellowship to pay her graduate-school tuition at University of California, Berkley, as well as provide a sizeable stipend.
• Church Plants Blossom in Arizona - Spurred by the Kingdom Enterprise Zone initiative that encourages church planting cooperation between the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) and the Reformed Church in America (RCA), new ministries are springing up all over the Phoenix/Tucson area in Arizona.
• Faith Alive Magazines Win Top Awards - The quarterly journal Reformed Worship and the monthly magazine The Banner, two of the regular publications of Faith Alive Christian Resources, recently took home eight awards given by the Associated Church Press (ACP), including "Best in Class" for Reformed Worship in the Special Interest Magazine category.
• Grant Will Fund Food Program in Kenya - The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) will be able to launch a new program this month to address the health and nutrition needs of women and children in a coastal province in Kenya thanks to the Canadian government, the University of Manitoba, and the Canadian Foograins Bank (CFGB).
